It’s about community!
As part of his business, AAAA Bike Shop has helped set up bike patrols for police departments across the region, including not only Ventnor, Margate and Longport, but Atlantic City and North Wildwood, not to mention also providing bikes to the U.S. Navy and several casinos.
It varies from town to town, he said of the number of bicycles for each patrol. It could be as little as two or as many as 20. Atlantic City orders quite often now, but they buy a little less bikes than in the past.
We’re very proud to be able to live and work here. It’s all about promoting and riding in the city we love to call home.
Wiesen started at AAAA in 1979, eventually moving it to Ventnor from its old location in Atlantic City. What happened was, when I was a kid I bought a real expensive road bike, and after paying it off every week, they put it together all wrong. I was brokenhearted about it, but it forced me to work on bikes.
As it turned out, I loved it so much that when I was in college, I would go to school one semester at a time in Tampa and come back and work at the bike shop, and when I finished my college career, I decided to stay in the business.
